SUNDAY, APRIL 27

Bacon n' Beer Brunch: 10:00 a.m. - noon || Draught Works Brewery. This event is returning for 2014! 915 Toole Ave. It's limited to 150 attendees and includes four new Draught Works beers, all-you-can-eat bacon and breakfast served by Burns St. Bistro, bottomless coffee from Black Coffee Roasting, and the infamous maple bacon donuts. Tickets are $35 and available at Draught Works only. Brews on the Block (Party): 12:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. || Toole Ave. between Draught Works and Summer Sun Brew Supply. We're kicking craft beer week off right with a big ol' block party, complete with fun, games, beer, films, celebrity appearances, brew demos, and did we mention beer? 

Montana Beer Blind Tasting: All Day. || The Rhino. 158 Ryman St. $7 for a flight of four 7 oz. Montana-made beers. You just have to tell us which ones they are. Correct answers get a prize. Then we'll draw from all the winners for a grand prize!


MONDAY, APRIL 28

"The Beer Hunter" Movie Night with Bitter Root Brewing: 8:00 p.m. || Top Hat Lounge. 134 West Front St.

Flathead Lake Brewing Company of Missoula Brewer's Dinner: 6:00 - 7:00 Happy Hour; 7:00 p.m. Brewer's Dinner. 424 North Higgins in the Galaxy Lounge.  This is a four course dinner paired with four of Flathead Lake Brewing Company's beers and discussion from FLBC's brewers! Cost is $55 per person and there are only 50 tickets available.  Purchase tickets at FLBC of Missoula or by emailing Sarah at Events@flbcofmissoula.com.

TUESDAY, APRIL 29

Sweet and Sour Dinner: 6:00 p.m. || Caffe Dolce. 500 Brooks St. Get ready for another epic taste bud explosion from the talented crew at Caffe Dolce. In this unique event, sweet dishes will be paired with sour beers and sour dishes will be paired with sweet beers. Plus, you will hear from one of the masters of American sours, David Brendgard, the new lead brewer for Flathead Lake Brewing Company, who spearheaded the sour beer and cellaring program for Deschutes Brewery in Oregon. (Ticket prices and menu coming soon!)

FREE Mini Brew Demo: 7:00 p.m. || Chapman Home Brew. 2330 S. Higgins. Have you thought of making your own beer but do not have the money or space for doing 5 gallon batches? Join us for a demonstration of very small scale beer brewing (~1 gallon batches) Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. Brewing small batches is also a great way to test recipes before committing to bigger batches.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30

Make-a-Beer-Book Class: 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. with the Vespiary. || Bayern Brewing Inc. Audra from The Vespiary Book Restoration & Bindery will teach you how to bind your own homebrew or beer tasting journal at Bayern Brewery. We will be using the Leather Longstitch method: an ancient, multi-signature book structure that lays flat when opened and makes for an awesome journal. Pages are sewn directly into the leather and make a decorative pattern on the spine. Materials will be provided. No previous bookbinding experience necessary. Tickets are available for $50 through Eventzilla or on-site at The Vespiary (located inside The Buttercup Market & Cafe) - cash, checks and credit card accepted. First beer is free!

Tamarack Beer Dinner: 5:00 p.m. || Tamarack Brewing Co. (Missoula). An incredible three-course dinner with special beer pairings for each course. We're talking rattlesnake sausage, flat iron steak, and Trio Mousse, plus beer! :: FULL MENU ::

Beer and Cheese Pairing: 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. || Draught Works Brewery. In celebration of Missoula Craft Beer Week, Draught Works has partnered with the Good Food Store to bring you a beer and cheese pairing.  Drinking beer isn't just for quenching your thirst, it's also meant to enjoy with your favorite foods.  Come and explore the marriage of complex beers and cheeses.  Draught Works has hand selected 8 specialty (many unreleased to the public) beers to accompany an array of cheeses sure to lift the palate.  Draught Works brewers and the Good Food Store cheese expert will be present to walk you through the tasting and educate you about both. Two seatings. Run Wild Missoula Beer Run: 6:00 p.m. || Laughing Grizzly. 2300 West Broadway.

Art on Tap: 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. || Caffe Dolce. 500 Brooks St. Thanks to Art on Tap, there is art and beer happening. The featured painting will be "Hops." The class includes instruction for painting, all the materials, a free Elysian beer and pint glass. Sponsoring the event is Elysian Brewing, who will be bringing a fine selection of beers. $32. Kettlehouse Firkin Tapping: 4:00 p.m. || The Rhino. 158 Ryman St. Join Kettlehouse Brewing Co. for a special tapping of Joe Smoke (coffee-infused Cold Smoke).

Inaugural Craft Beer Cup: 5:15 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. || 9 bars, 9 holes, over 9 breweries! The question is, can you sink your ball in the hole? Teams of 4-6 players. $20 PER PERSON. Theme: "Tweeds 'N Knickers". Profits donated to Missoula Food Bank. Sign-up now at the Rhino by April 27.

FRIDAY, MAY 2

Big Sky Firkin Tapping: 4:00 p.m. || The Rhino. 158 Ryman St. Join Big Sky Brewing at the Rhino for a First Friday tapping of Pack Train Double IPA.

Iron on Patch Night with Ninkasi Brewing: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. || The Rhino. 158 Ryman St. Join Ninkasi Brewing as they come in "hot" (with an iron) and are ready to iron on a brewery patch to whatever you bring them (that will accept a patch, mind you). Then enjoy the lineup of Ninkasi beers available. This is a popular event!

Wooden Barrel Tapping by Bayern: 5:30 p.m. || The Depot. 201 Railroad. Join the Bayern crew as they tap a wooden barrel of their latest seasonal, Dump Truck. 

Brews and Blades: 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. || Glacier Ice Rink. 1101 South Ave. W. Glacier Ice Rink has teamed up with Draught Works Brewery to hold 'Brews and Blades' at 7 pm. This event will showcase the long-standing relationship between Missoula hockey and beer, and will feature hockey games, figure skating exhibitions and of course, Draught Works beer! Admission for spectators is $5, which includes the first beer for those over 21. Pizza slices from Tarantino's Pizzeria will also be available for purchase. Money raised from this event will be used to replace Glacier Ice Rink's aging inventory of rental skates so they can continue to provide a quality skating experience for our community.

SATURDAY, MAY 3

Big Sky Beer Brunch: 10:00 a.m. || Old Post with Big Sky Brewing. 103 West Spruce St. 

12:00 p.m.  22nd Garden City Brewfest. Beers, live music and food vendors.  Celebrate the end of Missoula Craft Beer Week in style at the longest running brewfest in Montana. Caras Park.

ALL WEEK LONG

Grain/Wort Tasting || Chapman Home Brew. 2330 S. Higgins. All grain brewers; have you used any of the other base malts besides North American 2-Row? This will be your chance to try a taste of several different base malt grains and wort made with those grains. There will be six to eight of them to taste and compare. Available anytime during our regular business hours during Missoula Craft Beer Week. See website for hours.
